The Optimist Creed
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your piece of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and greet every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

On May 8 club members Brad, Sylvia, Tom, Daryl, Dennis, Amanda and Jerry had the privilege of delivering the 2nd installment of 100 stuffed puppies and stuffed monkeys along with 100 children's books to the Sanford Children's Hospital on behalf of our Optimist Club.
We have no doubt that the books and animals will brighten things up for over 200 kids in the hospital and put smiles on a lot of little faces (we delivered the first installment of 100 books and animals in February). One of those things that as Optimists, we can all truly be proud to be a "Friend of Youth" and make a positive difference in our community.
Here's the news story that appeared on KX News. Carter, the little boy in the video was beyond thrilled to get 4 of the stuffed animals! When we were leaving his hospital room he told us "I am feeling better already!"
